Going Green

I did it. Today at the grocery store, when they asked if I wanted paper or plastic, I said, "You know what? I think I'm going to buy the reusable bags." I handed them a stack, and was on my way. They are actually quite nice! I have always been a fan of paper bags, but with no handles, and the tearing, it has just been easier to get plastic. I hate the plastic ones, because they rip, and after I unload the groceries I have so many, that I throw them all in the trash. Well, I love these new bags. I happened to get the Smith's brand, since that was where I was. I unloaded the groceries, and took the bags back to the car - so they're ready to use on my next trip to the store. I highly suggest doing this! I think you'll love it!

The photo shown is of the regular bags - not the thermal ones.

Ha! Can you imagine going into Winco with my re-usable bags? Everyone would think I was rich or something and try to rob me:) Just kidding!! I keep thinking that I would like to do that...except Aaron uses the plastic bags to carry his lunch in when he goes to work, in case it spills in his bag.

I bought some of those a while ago. I forget to bring them in every stinkin' time I go to the store. I've used them for other things, though.

Hey Jen. I need your e-mail address that you look at!! I wanted to know how your appt. was. Hopefully he treated you okay! I saw Troy and the kids there a while ago, and the kids said he did a good juob. (That means a lot coming from kids!!) Anyway, I just wanted to see how things were going. Oh, and I want to make an appt for pics of my kids. Brandon is a great photographer (I don't know if you saw any of his pics in his office) but he doesn't really do people. Anyway, let me know!

Going green huh? You know, you can take your plastic bags back to your grocery store and put them in the recycling bin, right? I think most stores have them. That's what we have started doing. It's just trying to remember to take them when I go to the store.

Oh you get dirty looks if you don't have reusable bags here in marin. I'm actually a huge fan. Costco has these gigantic ones that prove quite useful. I use the bags all the time for everything. It pays to go green!
