My hand at video...

So...I have this awesome camera - that has incredible video capabilities.  I decided I was going to sit down and figure it all out.  Once I got some footage, I had the huge dilemma of figuring out what program to use.  I think I know the one I want - but I haven't purchased it yet.  So...this video has a copyright across the top - I will work on that this week.  Anyways - enjoy my little Haley just doing what she normally does!

Uptown Girls

On a cold February day, I decided to meet up with a photographer friend downtown, and take some fun pics of my girls. Kristin was off-track, and we didn't have anything else to do! I love these photos of my girls. Glad I got to have fun photographing them just for fun!

Haley and preschool...

Haley continues to LOVE preschool and Miss Jen. She looks forward to every preschool day. The only thing that isn't her favorite - is worksheets. I am told she rushes through as fast as she can. I don't have the heart to tell her she will be doing worksheets for a long, long time. She waits patiently for her carpool to come every day.

One of her favorite things are the field trips. This fieldtrip was to the dollar theatre to see Puss in Boots 3D. They took them upstairs to see the reels and reels of film, and then we sat down to a movie. I don't like 3D - but they ONLY had this movie in 3D. About 5 minutes in - Haley let me know she was tired and was taking a nap. Nice. I'm glad I got to go to the movie so she could take a nap! Oh well...she just remembers the fun field trip.

Chinese New Year...

Don't worry. It's a short video of Kristin's Chinese New Year Celebration!

Mike's Family

I got to take photos of Mike's little family. Lucas and Matias are the cutest kids...Mike and Maria are okay too, I guess. Love these guys and can't wait to see them in July!

Christmas Day!

And then it was morning...the kids actually slept in a lot longer than I thought they would. We woke up and headed downstairs. They were shocked to see an XBOX Kinect! They were so excited about their gifts and very grateful. I LOVE Christmas morning. It truly is magical.

This year we were lucky and got to go to Sacrament Meeting on Christmas day. The music and few talks were wonderful and was a great reminder of why we celebrate Christmas and the true meaning of Christmas.
We spent the afternoon at my parents having Christmas Dinner and spending time with Mike's family before they had to head home.

Christmas Eve

Bring on the family Christmas parties! This year - everyone on the Peterson side was there!

This includes my brothers. It's always fun when my brothers are in town. They need to visit more!
I love it that these 2 girls wanted nothing but their 2 front teeth for Christmas! After the Peterson shindig - it was off to the Korth shindig. We did the nativity. Ronnie got to be the ass this year. Lucky guy.
We had beautiful angels.....
After the Korth shindig - we headed home to take a few photos in front of the tree before bed and get the kids situated all in the same bedroom upstairs. This is their tradition. They have been doing it for a few years. They like to sleep on the floor in the girls room on Christmas Eve.
I woke up early to take a photo of the living room after Santa had come and the kids destroyed the peace and beauty of Christmas.

Reindeer...and the Claus...es...

Kristin saw this hairstyle on pinterest and MADE me figure it out for her hair. Luckily - Haley allowed us to pull some squiggly eyes off one of her preschool papers so that this hairstyle could happen in the 10 seconds before we had to leave that Kristin was determined it MUST be done. Kristin got quite the reaction at school. They asked her to stand in front while they sang rudolph - everybody told me how great it was. It's funny to me that Kristin wants that much attention...oh well...whatever makes her happy!

I made the kids go sit on Santa's lap. Well, I made Kyle and Jake. The girls were excited to go. I hate that the younger ones get jipped on things like this. My favorite cupcake store, One Sweet Slice, was having Santa come - so we went. It was all worth it just for the photo I got of Haley and Santa!

Dance Recital

I can't believe it's taken me so long to update this blog! I am so mad at myself that I let it get 4 months behind. Oh well...keep on moving forward...right? Well, the girls have a Christmas Dance Recital (they just had their spring recital tonight!). Both grandma greats were there, and it was Haley's first time on stage! And she LOVED every second of it. I love this photo I got of her. She was supposed to have her head down like the other girls as the curtain opened - but she just had to peek!

Both girls did great. Kristin does clogging and jazz and Haley does ballet. Next year we will add some extra classes. This was also fun, because two of their grandma greats were there watching!

Gingerbread Houses...

I'm not sure what annual year this is for Gingerbread houses with the Braithwaites. I am thinking this is the 3rd year. The kids look forward to it every year. I think we buy more and more candy every year also. We are grateful for our friendship with this awesome family and look forward to MANY MORE gingerbread (graham cracker) house decorating nights.

Temple Square

We made it downtown to see the Christmas lights with Papa and Grammy this year. We first met at Del Taco for dinner, and then stopped by Starbucks for some hot chocolate. We walked around temple square. It was pretty but freezing cold! I had a photoshoot and had been freezing outside for about 3 hours at this point. The night was far from over. We headed over to see a live nativity put on by some people in my parents ward. It was really neat and I'm glad I got to take the kids to see it. I think I'm going to have to invest in snow pants one of these years!
