Spring Break

We got home from Europe just in time for our Kids Spring Break. We wanted to make sure we were home so that we could do family things while they were out of school. Troy continued to take the week off. The first thing we did our kids have been dying to do for awhile...that is going to Airborne. It's a trampoline place where they play dodgeball and jump. They loved it!

Then we - of course - had to do the Easter Festivities. We went to Copperton as usual for the Easter Egg Hunt.
. This year we also decided to do something a bit different. We did our own Egg hunt for our kids in the backyard. We got candy we actually like, and 100 eggs. Troy and I hid them and then each kid got to find 25. It was awesome. We hid some pretty hard - and the kids kept coming and asking for hints. We amazingly found all 100. I get so sick of the egg hunts that aren't 'hunts'. That's the whole point!
On Easter Sunday the kids put on their best duds and we went to church.
Afterwards we took a big extended family photo with the Korths,
(we are still missing a brother and his family - 7 people total) but with Jon and Donnarae in town - we went ahead with the photo. We ate dinner and did an egg hunt with the extended Peterson side. I missed my brothers and their families. Wish they weren't so far away.

2011 Family Photos

This year we went to Las Vegas' dry lakebeds for our family photos. Erin, one of my besties, took our photos. I took her families photos as well! After all the clothes picking, and details, every single one of my kids fell asleep on the way there. Haley wouldn't crack a smile for the first 40 minutes. Ah - it is what it is. Here are my favorites!

The Kids Annual Photos...

This year, I took Troy's side of the family's pictures on one day. I was too busy to spread them out, so everyone showed up, and I clicked away. I decided to put my kids in the clothes I had gotten for our family photos - to 'Try' them out. I LOVE these photos of them!

Here are some of the other photos we got of our family in our BYU gear. I blew up the first photo and it's up on the shelf. LOVE IT!

Utah State Fair

Our family went to the Utah State Fair a few weeks ago. We met Brad, Missy and Abby there(my cousin and his family). Missy is the creator of: So You Think You're Crafty. She took some photos of me and I took some photos of them! I edited my photos and watermarked them with my logo even though she took them, just to protect the pictures, but it's obvious, I did NOT take them.

Here's my favorite one I got of their cute little family... It was great being able to hang out for a few hours! We must do it again sometime...let's not wait for the fair!

Family times...

A few weeks ago - all of my brothers came to town. That is kind of a big deal. We usually are only ALL together once - MAYBE twice - a year. We did so many things. Hiking...biking...swimming...BBQ's...and of course...TENNIS. I only took my camera on the hike. Which was dumb - cause that was probably the most difficult thing to haul my 40lb camerabag around doing. Anyways...here are the photos. We are missing Jason - he didn't fly in until later this night. A few things about this lake...it is about 2.5 miles round trip. It is a pretty steep and rocky climb. The kids did surprisingly well...I made them all carry a little backpack with their own water. Haley just went on shoulders a few times.

WE MADE IT! What do you do at the top of a hike except throw rocks in the lake and take a group picture?

We had a super fun weekend...this year we get to have everyone back for Christmas...can't wait!

My family....

The Korth Family from Heidi Adams on Vimeo.

We had our family pictures taken by Erin Fonnesbeck (who is one of my best friends) and this video was done by Heidi Adams (who I LOVE to work with - from weddings, to families, to seniors...) This video makes me happy. Oh...if you want on my Christmas Card list (Yes, I'm still one who actually MAILS one...leave me a comment)

Middle of Nowhere, NV

So, as most of you know, I took the kids and headed to Vegas for a few days. In the morning, I am headed home. We are going to the Planetarium tomorrow night. It has been a super fun trip! Erin and I took some newborn photos together. They can be seen here. Today, we took the kids to take their photos. It was a new location we wanted to try out. We got a little lost on the way out there. Let me tell you, this GEM of a place was in the middle of nowhere. I don't know how the FEW people survive living out there. Here are some photos I took. Beware...HUGE overload!

First, are the photos of all the kids together, as well as with their Fonnesbeck Friends. They had fun, except for when we were taking pictures. They naturally feel that is torture. And naturally, I don't care. I LOVE them all. My favorites have to be the reflection in the puddle one, and the shadow one.

Here are photos of the kids individually. I have the most of Kristin, of course. She is always the one ready and willing for photos.
