We're finally home!

Hello everyone! We made it home. It has been an eventful week! The airplane ride went without a hitch! I am so grateful for my friend Steff from VA. The night before I left, she left on my doorstep a little bag of things for the kids. Not normal things. I had told her I wanted to go buy pipe cleaners for the kids to play with on the plane. I know, a wierd thing, but I saw some kids playing with them in Sacrament Meeting and thought it was worth a try. She had some on hand, and brought them over (to save me a trip to Michael's with 4 kids) along with a few other surprises. She sent some left over felt, and cardstock and glue sticks and those wiggly eyes. Those few items kept Jake and Kristin entertained for at least 30 minutes on the plane. That was HUGE!

We got home to a house full of all of our stuff...why we think we need all of it, who knows? After living in VA with the bare minimum, when I am unpacking, I am realizing just what we need, and what we don't, and throwing a ton of stuff away! Our new appliances were here, and needed to be installed. Kenny had painted most of our house for us (THANK YOU! WE LOVE IT!) and most importantly, the kitchen cabinets. All day Friday and Saturday, we had constant visitors. Everyone was being so nice and helpful but it was something we definately were not used to...we are now! We love our family! So much needed help this week! A big surprise was when Scotty and his family stopped by (good friend from High School). There was wet paint in the house, and needless to say, they didn't get past the entryway, but once things are sane again, we'll have to invite them over. We really appreciate our family - they've helped us tons.

It has been almost a week since we got here, and I have already made 2 trips to Urgent Care for Haley. Poor girl is only 3 weeks old, and has a horrible cold. She has reflux too, which makes her cold worse. In 4 days, she lost 3 ounces. On Tuesday night, she weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. Only 5 oz. more than when she was born. I am especially worried for her lungs...due to prior experience with all the other kids. As of now, I think she's over the worst. She's on Zantac which has made a world of difference and hopefully, she'll be fattening up soon.

We love our house. It feels so good to be home. It would feel even better if it was clean and everything was put away and out of boxes...but all in time. I can't even believe Christmas is in a few days. Troy is in Vegas now, at the bowl game - Congrats BYU for KICKING THE CRAP OUT OF OREGON! So, that leaves Saturday for us to Christmas shop...woopie! I can't wait...shopping on the last Saturday before Christmas...could there be anything worse?

A fun thing...my brothers are in town - Jason and David (in tow with girlfriend Jabani - David's girlfriend...not a shared one!). Michael and Maria will get here tomorrow. It's been fun seeing my brothers, and I can't wait to spend Christmas with my whole family. It has been years since we all spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning together. After an hour with my wild kids, my brothers are definately worn out...oh well, they only see them once a year - roughly. They should enjoy every second! Troy turns 29 tomorrow too! We are going to dinner and to temple square to see the lights. It should be a fun day!

Well, I think that describes my week. Of course, I don't know where the camera cord is, so pics will come later! Now, back to the boxes...

National Christmas Tree

On our way to the TREE!

We got a new stroller. It is a sit and stand one. The baby carrier hooks into the front ( I was wearing Haley in my front pack during this particular picture). We like it, cause Jake and Kristin can both fit on the back. It was on clearance at Babies R Us, which is why we got this particular model, but it works! Our old double stroller, we had lost (or who knows, it's somewhere in the move) the attachment where you can attach the baby carrier, which makes it pretty useless. Plus, it has gotten so much use, it's trashed! Now we have 2 double strollers...let's go to Disneyland!
Here's your National Christmas Tree:

We went downtown the other night for one last hurrah! We went to see the National Christmas Tree. It was pretty cool. They have a tree decorated for every state. Some organization donates the stuff to decorate it. It is usually done by a girl scout troop, or school, or something. Around the bottom of the Christmas Tree, there are tons of train sets that are going. The kids loved watching that! It was such a gorgeous night out! Here's another crappy pic of the kids...still can't figure that whole flash thing out...honestly, I haven't tried...too much to do!
I took this picture so that you could see the White House on the left side of the Christmas Tree. You can see more of the train sets too. Okay, here are pics of some of the state trees. All of the trees are exactly the same height, and they all have see-through ornament balls. Each state decorated the inside of them.

Here's the Oregon State Tree. It was kind of cheesy, all they did was put ribbons in their ornament balls.

Here is the Utah State Tree:

It was decorated pretty cool, with snow in the bottom of all of them, and ski's and such in the snow...then some of them had sand and the arches...

Here's the Nevada Tree, just for you Erin. I honestly don't remember what the balls had in them...
Oh, I forgot to tell you about what happened on the way home. We saw the presidential motor cade. He must have been out shopping, but we were stopped at a light, and he came (with his enterage - however you spell it) past us. Pretty cool...for some odd reason, our family keeps seeing the presidential motorcade...David in Indiana (I think), Troy and Doug in Wyoming (on their way to the BYU vs CSU game), and us in DC. What are the odds? I tried to take a picture...but this was all I got...

Santa Pics

Here's the pics I promised...not that great...oh well...that's my kids...no trying to disguise it! Oh, and yes, that's another bruise on Jake's forehead! He's just not Jake without a bruise on his forehead!

Just wondering if it was possible if any of my kids could look at the camera at the same time? Guess not...

Santa Claus

The kids have been begging to go see Santa. Delilas invited us to dinner last night, so we went to the Manassas mall to see Santa. I thought it would be less busy than Dulles Town Center, which is always packed! I was right! There was 1 family in front of us! Kristin was the most excited. This is her first year of being old enough to know what's going on. She asked Santa for a kitchen. Jake asked for a train(why? he already has one), and Kyle asked for 2 soccer goals (he originally wanted a soccer ball, but he must have realized he already has one, so went for the next most logical gift - the goals.) The Santa was really nice. He even held Haley, and a big bonus, we didn't have to pay the $20 for the mall picture, they let us take our own, but I only got 2 tries! So, here are the 2 pics I got...whoops! I haven't dowloaded the pics yet...my camera is in the car so I don't forget it tonight. We are headed to downtown DC to see the National Christmas Tree! I will upload the pics later!

Ward Christmas Party

We had our ward Christmas Party on Saturday. It was amazing! Such great food and a program. The thing I was most impressed by was the orchestra that was made up solely of people in our ward. There were probably about 12 people, and they played the song, "For Unto Us a Child is Born", which the ward sang along to. It was amazing! I think easterners are much more artistically refined than those in the west. To prove my point, I was telling a friend (from Oregon) that was what I thought (about being more refined) and she said that someone brought a guitar to theirs for a sing-a-long. Not that that is bad, any music is better than none, but that is the difference...Anyways, it made me want to sign Kyle up for violin lessons. I want a piano more than anything now! I can at least get him started in piano! Anyways, back to the party...They did a program, based on the nativity. Kyle and Jake were asked to participate. Kyle was to be Samuel the Lamanite, and Jake was a cow. At first, I couldn't figure out what Samuel the Lamanite had to do with the nativity, but Troy reminded me he propheside (I know I spelled that wrong...) of the birth of Christ, so that was Kyle's part. Jake was a cow, who got to hang out in the same stable as Baby Jesus. Jake thought that at the end of the program, he should HOLLER into the microphone..."THANKS FOR COMING!" Troy and I were trapped in the middle of the audience and could do nothing...
Kristin and Haley stayed with us in the audience! Man, they are so much better behaved than the boys would have been. My only complaint about Kristin was that she couldn't quit singing. Everytime they played a song, she would have to sing too. It was never the same song as in the program, and it was always loud. She's such a diva!

Haley

Just a picture of Haley in her carseat! She's so cute! She can't wait to meet her Grammy and Papa and her Grandpa Korth!

Kyle-ism

So, we found a mouse here in our garage. Thank HEAVENS we only have 4 days left here! I am the one that spotted it first. Troy thought that my hollering was me splitting open my incision...it wasn't...it was a mouse. The only things on this planet, that literally make me squirmish thinking of...anyways...

We bought a mouse trap. Not the normal kind, it looks like a hockey puck, you put bait in it, the mouse goes in, eats poison, dies, and you can throw away the disc without having to look at the mouse. It has these indicators on the top of it that tell you if it's set, not set, or mouse caught. Well, it's been almost 2 days since we've put the trap out, and no mouse. The boys have been anxiously waiting and watching the indicators!

We got home from church today. Kyle went and looked at the trap. He looked up at Troy, and in an exasperated voice, said, "I know why it's not catching any mice! There's a picture of a mouse trap on the side of it!" OF COURSE! Why would a mouse go into a little house with a picture of a mouse trap on it? Love his logic!

Washington DC Temple Lights

We decided to go see the lights at the temple tonight. The kids were crazy, and needed to get out of the house. We listened to Christmas Music on the way there. It was really nice. It wasn't too cold outside. This is the view looking into the Visitor's Center. Look closely, and you can see the Christus. Here's Troy and Kristin. The pictures aren't that great. I need to figure out my camera a little bit better, with shutter speeds, etc...so that my pics aren't all blurry...

Here's our family in front of the temple. I thought this was a gorgeous setting, but again, I've got to figure out shutter speed...
Here's Grandma Korth with the kids, watching the LIVE nativity. They asked a couple in our ward to volunteer to be the nativity couple, but we will be back in Utah. It would have been cool though!
Here's a picture of me and the girls. We had to squat down by the pink lights (thanks Kristin). I was praying I wouldn't fall over.
It was such a fun and pretty night at the temple. I think we were there a total of 15 minutes, but it was perfect! I wasn't too sore, and the kids got some energy out before bedtime. Haley stayed perfectly warm in my new "New Native Infant Carrier". I think I got a size too big, but I am going to try to shrink it. Merry Christmas everyone! I can't wait to go see the lights at Temple Square...I've got to figure out the whole shutter speed thing first...any tips?

Haley Arrives!

Haley Korth was born on Monday, November 27th at 11:19 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz and was 20 inches. She is a cutie. She has "angel kisses" between her eyes like Kristin did, though not as bad. Sorry if I didn't call too many people Monday night, I had a few complications and wasn't doing so hot. I am better now...let's just say, pain medication would have been nice to have after the spinal wore off...So far, she is a good baby! The kids love her! Kristin calls her "baby Haley" constantly. Jake is smitten with her. I am surprised at how much he loves her and wants to hold her. He was only 18 months when Kristin was born, so it's fun to see him so sweet with her. Kyle likes her, for the most part, I guess for him, it's been there, done that...

This is - so far - my favorite picture of Haley. I love the close-ups!

This picture of the kids was the first time that they saw Haley. I was puking on the bed and Troy took the pictures(good job Troy!). Since I was in such bad shape, Delilas (LOVE HER) came and took the kids to spend the night at her house so that Troy could stay with me. She said that they all prayed in their prayers that I would stop puking...aw...how sweet!
This was during the c-section. A scheduled c-section sure is a lot different than an emergency one. I got my epidural right in the O.R. (which was cake!) and then it took quite awhile for them to actually take Haley out. At one point in during the surgery, Troy looked over the curtain, and looked at me and said, I better sit down. Guess it got to him this time.
I took these pictures of each kid with Haley. I was trying to capture the look each kids face, instead of making sure it was a good picture of Haley. I love these pictures! It truly is how the kids feel!
Anyways, I'm home now...in pain...wanting to sleep! Goodnight!

Kyle-ism

Kyle was saw a commercial on TV. It was some kind of an SUV commercial. He said,"Mom, people are just so DUMB! They just think they need their cars to be fancy! Duh, they're so dumb." I was thinking, he just knows of our humble cars...when I heard him mutter under his breathe, " Duh, they just get flies all over them."

Pretty brilliant huh? Who needs a nice car, when it's just going to get plastered with bugs?

Oh Baby!

Kristin loves babies. She can't wait for Haley to come out. (Our baby, we plan on naming her Haley) She loves her baby dolls. The other day, she was watching TV, and a commercial came on, and Kristin looked at Troy and said, I want that for my baby (meaning her doll), my baby needs that. We'll see how she does with the REAL baby! We are all getting anxious to meet our new baby! A little more than 24 hours now...

Boomerang

Okay, we have this Boomerang tv station here. Kyle and Jake love it and beg for it everyday! The funny thing, is that the shows that are on it, are old school cartoons from when we grew up. Examples: Pink Panther (animated), The Snorks, Yogi Bear, Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Chipmunks, and The Smurfs. I went to pick up a babysitter the other night. She got here and the kids were watching the Smurfs, and she asked "What are you watching?" I was shocked she had no clue what it was. (In my opinion, the Smurfs Christmas Special is still the best). I told her it was a "safe" show. (I had just finished telling her what shows the kids aren't allowed to watch...)Crazy, huh? Well, after church today, I noticed that the movie "Jack and the Beanstalk" was on Boomerang. I thought it would be a cute little show for them to watch while we got dinner on the table. (Thinking it was the Mickey Mouse one). Well, I was wrong. It was from the early 70's. They LOVED it. Here is a picture of all 3 kids intently watching the worst rendition of Jack and the Beanstalk known to man. It was probably the first time they tried to do animation along with normal people, and it was terrible. I normally holler at them to scoot back from the TV, cause they sit too close, but I wanted to take a picture...

Update...

We found out yesterday we are leaving Virginia on December 15th. The whole family is going - meaning Troy doesn't have to return in January. Also, I had a Dr. Appt. yesterday. Since we will be flying so soon after the scheduled C-Section, she called the hospital and scheduled me to be induced on November 27th instead of the 30th. So, good news all around! Only 12 days left until the baby's born, and 30 days left until we're home...YEA! Just wanted to keep you all updated...

Jake turns 4!

Today is Jake's fourth birthday! We went to Chuck E Cheese's tonight to celebrate. We invited some friends from the ward, the Elmer's who have kids the exact ages as our kids. Their son Aden, and daughter Addie are best friends with Jake and Kristin, so it was a good fit! They had never been to "The Cheese" before, and had a blast! My kids had a blast too! I, of course, forgot my camera. He got a helium balloon at Chuck E Cheese's along with a crown. As we were leaving, Jake was hollering "I'm the queen of the world!" Troy was very quick to correct him as a KING! It was funny though! He opened his present from Aden, which was a hot wheels car shooting thing, and his comment was, "I wanted this my whole life!" I am pretty positive he had no clue what the gift was at that point. If I would have known how hilarious Jake is at his birthday party, I would have had one for him earlier (previous years). He dances while you sing Happy Birthday to him. He's definately a booty shaker too! So, as soon as we got home, I wanted to take a picture of him with his balloon and crown, but unfortunately, Troy had already drugged all 3 kids with helium and was giggling at how funny they sounded. So, this picture is of Jake and his crown holding up 4 fingers. The kid doesn't know how to pose for the camera. He thinks he's a model, and he dances around. The picture isn't that great, but it sure depicts how he has been acting all day...ANYWAYS...HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!

Coming to an end...

This week Jake had his last swimming lesson. He has done so great! He can swim! It's awesome! Now we just need a pool for him to practice in! When we get to Utah, we are joining the rec center. Troy likes to play raquetball, and I want to work out, so we thought we'd get a family pass and take the kids swimming too. Hopefully they'll get a lot of practice! I was amazed at Jake's progress through the past few months!

Today was Kyle's last soccer game. It was such a nice day! The high was 77 today! Miracle! Kyle is so into soccer! When he's out (being a sub) he watches intently. He hollers and everything. The favorite thing (of mine) that I heard him holler, was "I want a replay! Come on - REPLAY" It was hilarious! Kyle did score 2 goals today! He was kicking butt! He really is good at soccer! I love that! One of the goals he scored was the last 5 seconds of the season! It was awesome! There was another kid on Kyle's team that - to put it bluntly - is a boob. He's an only child. His mom is probably in her 40's. She wears a wedding ring, but we have NEVER seen a father figure (or grandparent, or anybody) but the mom come to practices or games. He freaked out on his mom one practice, and I thought he was going to beat her up. The coach had to step in for this mom. Anyways, this kid shoves the other team down, is a ball hog, and cries if he misses a goal. He missed probably 4 goals today. He has no control over the ball. Kyle kept getting mad at him. I think the coach was happy to be rid of this kid. After the game, we told Kyle the reason that he made his goals, and that Eric (said kids name) didn't, was "karma". We told him that as long as he was a good sport, nice to others, worked hard, and played by the rules, he would always score. The reason Eric kept missing was because he didn't have good sportsmanship. Kyle was in awe. Hopefully that worked! If Kyle ever acted like that kid, I have no doubt Troy would pull him off the field and not let him go back. Anyways, I always like to see my kids being great kids - when others aren't. (Trust me, it doesn't happen that often!)

Since soccer and swimming are over now, it feels like our time here is coming to an end. Kristin still has ballet until December. She loves it now too! She goes by herself and loves every second! As excited as we are to be in our home in Utah, I will kind of miss being back here. Okay, not really, but I will miss the very few friends we've made. I think most of me just doesn't want to start over being the "new person" again. It's such a pain! 41 days until we fly home! 18 days until our baby is born (let's be honest, hopefully she comes before then!) 12 days until Thanksgiving (not that Thanksgiving means anything for us out here...just another day! I am not cooking a turkey for our family. Troy works the night before and that night - so no point! I will only be 1 week from giving birth too, so I am definately not cooking a turkey! Everyone eat lots for us!)

We're home!

We got home late Tuesday night. It was the busiest 10 days of my life I think. Here's a little bit of what we did: Carve Pumpkins, buy a house, got said home inspected, Halloween, painted a room for my mom, had a birthday party for Jake, had a birthday party for my mom, Troy drove to Colorado to watch the BYU game with his dad, Troy and I stayed at the Anniversary Inn for our anniversary, (which was yesterday and which we both forgot until last night at about 9 when he was already at work!) saw Makenna Paige Owens be born (to Kenny and Cherice) bought all new appliances for our new kitchen. One of the highlights of our trip: Troy was in Colorado and I was staying at the hotel with the kids. At 12:00 in the morning, the fire alarm went off throughout the hotel. So, I had to get 3 crying kids dressed, and out of the hotel. It was not fun. We had to sit in the lobby for about an hour while the firemen checked out the hotel. It was pretty much horrible. To make it worse, once they sent us back to our room, the alarm went off again at about 2:30a.m. Luckily, it turned off after about 5 minutes. I was the grouchiest pregnant woman anyone had every seen! Trust me! WOW! That was our week! Oh, a helpful tip for flying: barf bags make great puppets! Just bring markers or crayons! It kept Jake busy decorating it for about 25 minutes! Kristin thought we were flying on "American Air Lions" I wonder what she is envisioning in her head...Kyle thought it would be great to holler: TOUCHDOWN when we landed...he got a few giggles. Oh, and if you're ever seated in an isle row next to a pregnant lady, offer to let her stand up and stretch her legs! You should have seen my cankles at the end of the flight! WHEW! I hada doctor appointment today...nothing happening. Still the same as I was 5 weeks ago! AUGHHH! I am having the baby in 3 weeks from today though! Pray the time goes by fast! See, and you all thought I would have the baby on the plane! :)

Halloween!

These are all the kids. From left to right: Kristin(witch), Kyle(mummy), Jake(skeleton), McCall (Princess Aurora - my cousin Katie's daughter) and Maddie (chicken - also Katie's daughter). Mine and Katie's dads are brothers. The picture below has all the kids in costume, with their great grandma who is also in costume! NOPE! No pink hair for Grandma Great except on Halloween! (You never know these days, just wanted to clarify!)

The house...

Front of house

Back of house

Kitchen: I hate the color of the cabinets, my brother in law is going to help me glaze them a dark brown. I have to go figure out the exact color. We are also getting all new stainless steel appliances.

Dining room and view to the deck, family room to the left.

Looking down into the family room from the dining room...still wondering how we're going to keep the kids from climbing on the railing...

Stairway down into the basement. My scrapbook room will be straight ahead, toy room is to the left.

Master bathroom...don't think I like the black checkered tiles, but oh well.

Master walk in closet

We found a house!

Hello all! Well, we found our house! Troy's family thought we found it really fast, but they don't know all the looking we have done the past month -- the power of the internet! The second we saw it, we knew it was by far the best house we would be able to find in our price range. I took photos, but my camera got left in a different car. I will try to post a few pics later. We had it inspected today, and all went really well. A few minor problems to be addressed, and lots of caulking for Troy to do once we're moved in. The home has been newly remodeled. All new tile and carpet throughout the whole house. No linolieum in the whole house (woohoo!) and freshly painted...white...but it will do until we can paint it...room by room! The house is about 2150 square feet. Not as large as we would have liked, but better than the 1200 we have lived in the past 9 years. It is also on a quarter of an acre lot. Troy has many visions dancing through his head of what he's going to do...starting with a basketball court and extending the deck. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. The master bath is my favorite! Complete with jetted tub and seperate stand up shower! We feel really grateful to have found this home! We close on the house either the day I have the baby, or the day I get home from the hospital...we're not sure yet! Crazy, huh? I am doing fine. The flight here was uneventful! The flight was pretty empty, and I got my own row, so I was able to keep my legs up the whole flight! I can't believe this baby will be born in less than 4 weeks! Crazy!

Our kids had a great Halloween! We let them do a little trick or treating. We had our ward trunk or treat last Saturday, so they got enough candy then. We went to my Grandma Peterson's house (just like I did when I was little) and it was fun! They had bread bowls shaped as pumpkins and plenty of chili, clam chowder, and stew to eat! It was awesome! Once again, I will post pics as soon as I download them!

Troy decided to drive to Colorado on Saturday with his dad to go to the BYU vs CSU football game. I still am wondering why it's worth a 14 hour drive (round trip) when he could watch it on tv. He claims I just don't understand...

We are also celebrating Jake's 4th Birthday this weekend, and Troy and I are celebrating our 9th anniversary next Wednesday. We got a room at the Anniversary Inn while we are here and my parents are going to watch the kids! Hopefully it will be a fun, relaxing night. Any night away from kids can't be anything but! Anyways...pics to be posted later!

Update...

Okay, I had my doctor appointment. I haven't progressed at all, and I haven't had too many contractions. My doctor told me I could go off of bedrest on Sunday, since I will be 34 weeks. We still don't want a 34 week baby, but if I did go into labor, the baby will be a lot better off. I'm really not too worried, because I haven't had hardly any contractions. When she said I could go off of bedrest on Sunday, I thought, perfect timing, because on Sunday at 6am I am hopping a plane to SLC for a house hunting trip. We are so excited to go. We have just needed a break from this place. It has just been so hard living in limbo - not having our things - Troy having a 3 hour commute every day, etc. When I told Kyle we were going to find a house and the movers were going to put up his bunk bed, he almost cried. He is so excited to see his bed, and especially not have to share a room with Kristin. (She's a bit chatty at bedtime - Kyle and Jake can't stand it) I just haven't realized how hard it's been on them. I just figure they're resiliant. I moved a lot growing up, and you deal with it...but I will be so happy to be HOME. Wherever that is...

Another exciting thing happened. I don't know why I'm so excited about it, maybe it's because I actually see an end in site, but we got our flight information to go home in December. We actually fly to SLC on Troy's Birthday Dec. 22, and arrive at 6:30 pm, and it's a direct flight, which thrills me even more! Just having the tickets somehow tells me this is almost over. Maybe it's because when we flew out here, we only got 5 hours notice, so this is awesome!

I'm really hoping at this point, time will fly. When we get home from Utah, the baby could come anytime, then I'm sure the time until we fly home will also go quickly. Please pray that we find a home! We have made offers on 2 homes the past 2 weeks, and nothing has worked out. I'm sure it's for the best, but I can't help feeling discouraged. If we can't find a house, the thought of having to live in corporate housing even longer in Utah makes me nautious! So, we will be in SLC from the Oct. 29th to Nov. 7th if anyone wants to see us...or knows of a house for sale...let us know --but we already have a real estate agent and a loan officer, so we're good...

Father and Sons Campout

Last Friday night was our wards Father and Sons Campout. It was for men of all ages! I was so excited for Troy to take the boys (why they do it in October, I have no idea...I know it would be way to humid in the summer, but why not September?) because our ward in Oregon never had one of these (at least not for anyone other than Young Men age). The boys were so excited to go. Our friends, the Elmer's, let us borrow a tent. As the day kept getting closer, the weather kept getting worse. It was nice and sunny outside, but was forecasted to be one of the coldest days this year. It was. The low that night was 30 degrees. Since we have no camping equipment, Troy just took all of the comforters off all the beds here. He said it was no good. They all froze all night. (I told him if I took the kids, we would have ended up in a hotel instead of camping.) They came home early the next morning. He said the food they had planned (the ward) was horrible, so after Kyle's soccer game on Saturday morning, we went to IHOP, where I had seen commercials for their cream cheese french toast. It was heavenly. It was a pregnancy craving thing...it was way good, I highly recommend it...cheap too. Troy is such a good dad! Troy was not excited to go to the campout and have to be social with our ward (just don't know people very well, and Troy's social skills aren't the greatest if you don't know him and his personality), but he took a day off work and took the kids anyways. He said that he needs to plan a Father's and Son's Campout with his family when we're in Utah(next summer)...he thought that was a great idea...so Korth Family men...be prepared (you know I will be planning it...) Before Troy left, I begged him to take the camera and take a few pictures...I even reminded Kyle to remind Troy...Troy did his best and tried, but it was too dark, and a lot of the pics turned out blurry...here's what we got...

The "Hogginess" of it all...

STILL laying down...
Jake-ism:
As we were taking Jake to swimming lessons, we pulled out of the garage, and Jake hollered, "Hey, it's hoggy outside!" Troy and I started laughing our heads off, cause it was foggy, but to Jake it was one of those words you don't use very much but he's heard once and couldn't quite remember how he should use it...The funniest part was that we were laughing too hard to correct him, and Jake just kept talking non-stop ; "How long does it take for the hog to go away?" "We can't see very good when it's hoggy, huh dad?" "It's so hoggy, huh?" This is definately Troy's humor...so he's still giggling about it and demanded I put it on the blog...the blog that he started...funny...

The Temple...

Don't worry, I'm laying down...
Okay, on Sunday before church, we went to the temple. They play the Joseph Smith movie at the temple here, and it plays at 10:30am on Sundays. We decided to get up and get ready, go to the temple, watch the movie, and then go to church. We of course took pictures. Kristin wasn't cooperating for the nice girl who took our pictures, so we didn't get any good ones.

I got a few cute ones of the kids. They wanted Moroni in their picture, and I tried my hardest, but at this point in my pregnancy, I just can't lie on the concrete...

Notice Jake's gloves. He got gloves to go on the Father and Sons campout, and as you can see, on Sunday, he was still attached to them! Jake has also mastered the "fake" smile for pictures. I have been waiting for him to come up with his "picture" smile. Here it is...

Kyle is a great kid. During the movie, they showed the life history of Joseph Smith. As Joseph was in the Sacred Grove, seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus, Kyle leaned over to me and said,"MOM, this is true! It really happened!" It was so awesome. I hope he remembers this. Once they started showing the trials Jospeh went through - tarred and feathered, and in jail - Kyle was begging to leave. He just couldn't figure out why all that happened to Joseph, and he had a hard time sitting through it. He's so sweet. I think I cried more during the movie, just thinking about how sweet Kyle is, and hoping he stays that way, than of anything in the movie. It was really good.

Here's Kristin! She did not enjoy the movie. She loved walking around the temple and the fountain. We finally got her some fall/winter church clothes. Too cold for her summer dresses! She loves getting dressed up and twirling around showing us her outfits. Love her!
