Damn Chinese...

Yes, I said it. My brother is in China. He gets home the end of August. I have been instant messaging him, and he told me that he can't read my blog there. The Chinese government blocks some websites, blogspot being one of them. Seriously? One little reason I am grateful I live in the country I do...

I have some stuff to update. Our wireless router went out due to a power surge, and we had to get a new one. So - I haven't updated because my pictures weren't on the same computer as the internet was working - and I'm too lazy to move a few pictures...more next week...in the meantime...

Be grateful you're not in China...or you wouldn't have the freedom of reading me ramble..

Visitors..

Last week, we got the chance to see some old friends...the Nielsen's. They were driving home to Oregon from Denver, and stopped to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House and have a good night's rest. When they got to my house, Sarah wasn't feeling well, and Aaron took her to an instacare. Troy and I took 7 kids to the splash park! We got pizza on the way, and they had a blast. Just where they left off (plus a few kids, I'm sure). Sarah and I met when I was pregnant with Jake, and she was pregnant with Arwen.

Eating dinner...
Arwen
Kristin
The dastardly duo...
Of course we couldn't leave without an ouchie...Haley was the unfortunate recipient..
Goof balls...
Gross...
The Girlies!
Hmmmm....I get this a lot lately, how come I think it's only going to get worse???????
Aughhhhh....I secretly hope they get married one day...I have so many great pictures of the two of them...
Hmmm...definitely Noah!
Good pizza - all around!

We sure wish you guys could have hung around more! Maybe next time! Love you! Miss you!

Bowling...

Over the 4th of July, Jason surprised us all, and came home. He decided we should all go bowling. Jason is quite the bowler. Apparently he took a bowling class at SDSU and won a bowling ball for getting the highest score of the class during the semester. So - he has shoes and everything, and loves to bowl. My kids do too. I thought it was fun, but I could take it or leave it...So - here we all are at the bowling alley!

We went to the infamous Riverton Parade and then ended the day with some fireworks...illegal ones...

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake for the annual Korth reunion. I have to be honest - I didn't take many pictures. I am really picky when it comes to where I take out my camera - and since we camped out at the beach for most of the day - I didn't take my camera out...BUT...here are a few photos I did get...first off...my favorite one...

hmmmm...oh wait - I think I may have a few photos from my phone...yep...here they are! Excuse the quality...

Okay, now a list of things that happened, that were not captured on film...at least by me...
1. Doug (Troy's Dad) wrestling Troy's (stoned, drunk, who knows...ODD) cousin - in the sand.
2. Beau, Becca, and I swam out to the Buouy - which was FAR away this year - at 7:45 am. It was cold and has cured me of EVER wanting to race in open water like that. I did fine. It was hard to actually swim the way I was supposed to, but I was able to breast stroke when I needed to. It was too cold, and I was hyperventilating too much to do it the correct way. I was proud of myself though...
3. The mosquitos...billions this year...
4. My kids all got 1 ride out on the waverunner.
5. Our friends from VA - got to have the Korth Experience...hopefully they survived.
6. Slept in a tent for the 6th time this summer...I think that's a record for me...
7. We came home Saturday night which was GREAT! It gave us all Sunday to recoop.
8. We read Book#1 of Harry Potter out loud to the kids on the drive to and fro. We won't let our kids see any of the movies until they read the books. (regardless of the rating - unless of course it is 'R'). We figure once you see the movies, why would they go back and read the book. We got to watch the movie that went with it Sunday evening, and I was happy to hear my kids all say how the book was better! YEAH! We're halfway through book #2 now.
9. Happy to see my Corbett croonies that I have missed since the wedding in VA.
10. Kristin waking up in the morning completely bawling because I didn't bring her any "cute" clothes to wear. SHEESH! HELLO! WE ARE CAMPING! She cried for 15 minutes before she 'succombed' to wearing my ugly outfits.
11. Honestly, there has got to be more...just blocking it all out...Donnarae and Jon - definitely missed you guys this year.

The 4th of July...

I know, I have been so crazy lately, I haven't had time to blog...so here goes with the 4th of July...

We started up at Copperton Park - our tradition for the races. Later on in the day, we were heading out to Myton - for the Harding Side reunion. I had promised I would be the photographer, and my grandma warned me earlier on in the year, that I had better make it...you don't mess with my grandma - so after a few races, we were on our way!

Daxton had a good strategy. He shed his shoes in the middle of the race to trip other kids up...
Grandma Great with baby Lucas. Grandma ran in the over 50 group. I held onto her arm. I was amazed at how fast she was going. She won 5 bucks! (They even gave me $1 and said that we had tied...hee hee)
One of my best friends, Colette on the left, and my sister-in-law, Becca on the right.
Kentaraus. My dad. Don't know why, but we all call him that...
Miss Kinlee, tearing it up on the special needs race! Okay - now off to the farm. This place is actually where we had girls camp in June. It is awesome...
The Harding siblings. Well, the ones left with us...I think there are 3 more that have already passed on?
The Brothers. My grandpa is on the top right.
The sisters. Getting a little sassy, and showing a little leg...I love it!
Mike, Maria, and Lucas..oh man...just realized I don't have a picture of Jason...I'm not going to hear the end of it...Jason - just wait til the bowling post!
This is my cousin Chet, and Jake. Chet came to visit me a few weeks ago, and Jake thought he was awesome. Making me cut out the sleeves of the shirt he is wearing in this picture. Jake was so excited that Chet would take him on a motorcyle ride!
Here's little Haley. She found the lifevest - and didn't want to leave it there...
This is the funniest picture. EVER. Jason is currently working in Jackson Hole. He found those sunglasses and brought them back. At one point at the reunion, the wind picked up, and I was getting dirt in my eye. Jason let me wear them, and they fit OVER my normal sunglasses...it was pretty funny...to me that picture SHOUTS family reunion...
There is the greatest story behind this picture. The little girl on the left is a polygamist(why there is a little polygamist girl at our family reunion is a story for a different post). Kristin is on the right. Well, Kristin and her were fast friends for the day. They played on this swing for what seemed like hours. The funny part, was that Kristin's mouth did NOT stop running, and this little girl didn' say a word. I was wondering what she was thinking...
Kristin loved floating around the little pond...Troy was worried she was going to slide through the hole, but she never did...
This is Chet. He's a great kid. And one of the nicest. Thanks for posing!
Troy decided all of our kids were going to go down the slide. You ride a boogie board down it, and then glide across the top of the water. (Well, that's how it's supposed to work...) Haley is such a dare devil, she went down with us a few times!
This is my favoritest uncle, Kim. He is driving the tractor that is pulling the Harding Hauler. He saved my butt at girls camp. He is truly one of the greatest men I know! In this picture, he's telling me not to take a picture of him! HA HA!
This is the Harding Hauler. Kim pulled us over the river in it, and just around the farm. We used this a lot for girls camp too. Notice how all the people on it, are tilted to the right? I got it just as it was getting going, where you have no choice but to tip sideways...I think it's hilarious.

We decided to stay the night, since they were celebrating my grandpa's 84th birthday the next day. We slept on a tent in my aunt and uncle's yard. The next morning - my uncle Howard brought over a cake and we put exactly 84 candles in it. All the kids helped blow it out. Aferwards, was time for the playing. It was fun. Here is Chet - jumping from the swing into the water...

Had to work my photoshop magic...
Pretty cool, huh?
