Okay, in my previous post, I mentioned that I learned something at my doctor appt...I guess I should explain, so as not to freak people out...I am currently 31.5 weeks(out of 40 - for my brothers, but the baby will be born at 38 weeks). Over the weekend, I had horrible back labor pains - HORRIBLE! When I mentioned them to my doctor today, she decided to check to see if I was dialated. When she checked me, I wasn't dialated, but I was almost completely effaced. Apparently, more than any 31.5 week pregnant person should be. Check babycenter.com if you need a better explanation...she gave me a perscription that I have to take every 6 hours to stop any more contractions or progression. She also told me to "take it easy". My friend Erin told me that I didn't know how to "take it easy". I agreed, and want to know just what mother of 3 does know how to take it easy? Anyways, I figure the doc knows I'm a 3 kid mom, and if she really wanted me to "take it easy" I would be on bedrest. My trip to Utah is still on. I will go and find my house if they have to wheel me on the airplane in a wheelchair! Anyways...didn't want to worry anyone with the previous post...Sorry Sarah! Thanks for calling promptly to talk to me! I should scare people more often so I would get more phone calls! :)

Woa! That's crazy. Being effaced means more to me than being dilated. I'm surprised your doc is letting you go to Utah. IT's time for you to lay on the couch and let the kids watch a little more cartoons than they are used to. It's only temporary- keep that baby in.
Yeah Jen...what a nice doctor...
No kidding Jen! My high-risk guy doesn't believe in bed rest, but it is wise to keep the gravity from pulling the little lady down farther. Make sure to kick your feet up whenever possible. Good-luck house hunting!
