We carved our pumkins after the pumpkin patch. You'll notice in these pictures, Kristin is naked. (with panties on) She got one little pumpkin seed and guts on her, and refused to keep her clothes on. Apparently she doesn't care if that stuff gets on her skin, just on her clothes.
Jake was telling me what kind of face to draw on his pumpkin...he wanted eyes - just like Jake's eyes, a nose - just like Jake's nose, and 3 teeth - cause Jake's three. Earlier in the day, Jake decided to cut his own hair). He had been wanting to grow it out, and so we trimmed the sides, so the top could grow out, and he snuck into the bathroom, and at the front of his head, cut a huge chunk out. Figures that Jake would be our first kid to cut his own hair. So, we trimmed it down pretty short...I like it this way though! He almost looks like Kyle from the angle in the picture...
Kyle wanted his pumpkin to have 8 teeth - I said no-way and I think it ended up with 4. Notice Kyle's tongue sticking out of the side of his cheek. He can not concentrate without doing that! It's funny! Kristin pretty much just "calls" this her pumpkin. She didn't really have much to do with the pumpkins, naturally! Her pumpkin is a ghost though!
This is a picture of Kristin's eye. After the bee sting it was pretty swollen. This is such a cute picture of her, but I'm not sure you can see the effect of the bee sting on her eye from this angle. It is on her right eye.
Okay, one last thing, a Kyleism: Jake has a wart on his hand we've been trying to get rid of. He calls it his "bump". Basically, is what happens, is that we put medicine on it, and it kills the wart, and eventually the layer of medicine, along with a good chunk of the wart will peel off. Then it leaves it good and open to put more medicine on, and we continue the process. Well, after swimming lessons on Monday, Jake's first layer was about to peel off. Kyle told Jake, "You should save it, and put it under your pillow tonight, and maybe the "bump fairy" will come and leave you money...needless to say, I made sure it "accidentally fell off and got lost"...too bad for the bump fairy...
