Memories...

Okay, I'm finally doing it. Although - remember as you post memories, my FAMILY reads this! ;)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories are out there!

Scrap booking fun at Jen's back in Otown Oregon! HEHE It was always so much fun to go over to your house for a scrap booking night, especially when I would get a brain fart, and you always knew just what to do to make the page cute! Good Times!

How about the first time we went walking out in the pouring rain. Both of us not wanting to chicken out. You wearing just a short sleeved t-shirt, sopping wet. Fast forward to all those "brisk" 15 degree tap dances on icy streets in the middle of the winter. And to now, you long distance runner you. I need my Jen/run fix to get my day going right : ). Thanks for being you, and letting me rant all I want.

I don't remember how it came up, but I remember sitting in the foyer one day during sacrament meeting and you asking if you could talk to me about Dallin and ask some questions. That's when it was love. Someone not afraid to ask me about him. Someone who wanted to talk about him. Perfect! You're a great friend!

Though I have lots of memories through the years, some of the best are from our Child Development class in high school. We've talked about them many times, but the best was when Mrs. Harrison used you for the example of how not to treat students. She yelled at you (not her normal 12 inch whisper) that you had colored all wrong, ripped up you paper and told you to use only the crayon she gave you. Oh, and everyone else was getting candy and she was saying nice things about their pictures. I remember sitting next to you and wanting to laugh, but I hadn't gotten any candy yet so I didn't want to get yelled at too, so I had to keep it in. Ahh, the good times! You were (and still are) such a good sport.

I'm not looking for a memory but I had heard some of Troy's friends and Allisun and Donnarae talking about this girl that was showing interest in Troy. A few days later Jen and her friend( I've been racking my brain to think of her name, the one who died) came over to the house to do something to ask Troy to a dance. When they left the friend introduced Jen to me and said " This is Jen. She might marry Troy" or something similar to that. I said " Well let him grow up first". Well she did and she didn't. Lucky for Troy. She has been good for our family.

It was Lindsay. Troy asked me to a dance and I was answering him. When we walked in, Lindsay hollered - "This is your future daughter-in-law". I was so mad at her! I didn't hear anything you said. I was too mad at Lindsay to hear straight!

I have vague memories of you when you were dating Troy and first married. But the the one that brought us to know each other was when you lived out here in VA. I was that scary aunt that moved all the time. Good thing that Allisun was not afraid to call me so I at least knew you were close by. I'm not so scary after all. It was great to have family so close.
Slapping those Scrapbook pages together for me. After Haley's birth, you poor thing. Hope to have many more.

I remember going to your apartment so long ago and you showed me your craft closet. It was filled to the BRIM with so many fun things! It looked a lot like what your business room looks like now. :) I also remember meeting Kyle for the first time at your apartment right after he had been born....and meeting you at church - we were both just BARELY pregnant. So many memories since then, but those are the first.

Wow! How do you just pick one?! Especially when it's soemone like you. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
I think I'll just go with my very first time meeting you. I'm not sure if you even remember. But, we were in the Bell's back yard for a Releif Society dinner. You had only lived on Oregon for a short time and had a baby with you. It must of been cute Jake. Anyways, I'm not sure why I was even at the activity. I was probably just visitting. Anyhoo, I just remember asking you how you liked Oregon. It was in that conversation I knew I liked you. I could tell you were my type a person. Then when everything happened with Hayley and we reconnected I wasn't incredibly surprised. I already knew I liked you a lot.
Jen your awesome! Thanks for being in my life.
